Welcome to SWEET X SALTY!
In these terms and conditions of sale, the expression ‘The Company’ or ‘Company’ refers to SWEET X SALTY and the ‘Purchaser’ means the company, firm or persons to whom the goods are supplied by the Company under this contract.
By visiting our website and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our ‘services’ and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, known also as Terms of Service or Terms. These terms apply to all users of the website, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants or contributors to content.
This website is hosted by Squarespace, who provide us with an online e-commerce platform allowing us to sell our products and services to you.
PRODUCTS & ORDERS
Due to the handmade nature of our goods, items may differ slightly to the images show on the website, socials and/or printed material. The customer understand that these slight variations are not a fault of the product itself.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue goods without notice, at any time.
Our sale of goods agreement is not formed until the goods are dispatched successfully to the customer. Up until dispatch, if an item is under-priced or mispriced as a genuine mistake, the Company reserves the right to cancel an order or offer you the item at the correct price. At this point, you have the option of proceeding at the correct price or cancelling the order.
Customers are reminded to satisfy themselves that the goods they are purchasing are suitable before completing an order. No responsibility is placed upon the company for making an incorrect order.
For bespoke products, once a customer has instructed us to create an item, they are obliged to take it once it has been completed. Once work has begun for bespoke items, we cannot accept cancellations or amendments, especially once the product is completed and ready for delivery. If you do wish to cancel your bespoke order, any costs associated with said modifications will need to be recovered through the full payment before any refunds can be issued. Refunds will be discussed and organised on a case-by-case basis.
Certain products, services or promotions may be available exclusively on the website. We reserve the right to limit the sales of our products or services to any person or geographical location.
RETURNS / REFUNDS / CANCELLATIONS
All our cookies are baked to order and given the perishable nature of our cookies, we are unable to accept returns and we cannot provide refunds once items have been dispatched.
Refunds, credit notes or a replacement order to the same value will be given only if you receive the incorrect product or if the products are shown to be of unsatisfactory quality.
We take great care to ensure all freshly baked cookies arrive in perfect condition. If you are unhappy with the condition of your order when it arrives, please ensure you take a photo showing any damage or incorrect items and contact us within 24 hours of receipt. Please ensure to include proof of purchase and your order number. Any complaints made after this time cannot be accepted.
If you need to change the date or details of your order or cancel it altogether, please contact us as far in advance as possible with your order number and proof of purchase.
With the exception of bespoke products, orders cancelled 7 days or more before the delivery date will receive a full refund on the order total; those cancelled within 2-6 days of delivery will be entitled to a 50% refund; those cancelled within 48 hours of the delivery date will not be entitled to a refund (although refunds and credit notes may still be provided at SWEET X SALTY’S discretion).
Refunds will be discussed and organised on a case-by-case basis.
If you are eligible for a refund, a credit will be applied to your original method of payment.
DELIVERIES
We use third-party service Royal Mail to deliver our cookies nationwide. Delivery is chargeable on all orders, which will be applied at checkout. Free delivery may be offered with promotional discounts.
Cookies ship within the UK only, on a Next Day delivery service with Royal Mail Tracked 24. All deliveries are fully tracked with on-the-day delivery options: Safeplace and preferred neighbour.
For some areas Royal Mail does not provide a next day service, delivery will take longer to these postcodes: GY, HS, IM, JE, KW15-17, PA49, PA60-PA75, PA78, PH30, PH41-PH44 and ZE2-ZE3.
You will get an email confirmation immediately after you place your order, and you will receive a second email with tracking information once your order has been processed for shipment. On the day of delivery, you will receive an email from Royal Mail notifying you of the time slot.
It is your responsibility to check you have chosen the right delivery date and address upon checkout and in your order confirmation. If chosen a specific delivery date, we can change details 1 hour after order confirmation but once shipped the product cannot be recalled and we would not be able to offer you a refund if you’ve chosen the incorrect date or delivery address.
Please ensure someone is available to receive your delivery or that you request a Safeplace or preferred neighbour; in the event of non-delivery Royal Mail will try and redeliver the following day. We cannot take responsibility for non-deliveries occurring as a result of errors with your shipping address or unavailability on the day of delivery.
Please note that although all freshly baked cookies will be sent on a next day service, we cannot accept liability for delays occurring within the Royal Mail delivery system. We cannot take responsibility for late delivery but will make every effort to ensure your item reaches you as quickly as possible. These delays are very rare and if there are any issues with delivery you will be notified by Royal Mail on the day.
Delays arising with couriers are outside of our control and are completely unavoidable. The Company shall not be responsible for any consequence of non-delivery or late delivery of goods due to any causes (such as weather, fire, strike, miscommunication, government control or shortages of ingredients). Please note this list is not exhaustive and only includes some of the most common consequences of non-delivery or late delivery.
Delivery dates are always subject to change and therefore we strongly advise that non arrangements are made until you receive the goods and are fully satisfied.
The Company will not in any circumstances accept liability for any consequential loss of profits/earnings or third-party claims or detention or delay or expenses of any kind howsoever caused. This includes any agreements made through external delivery companies, including any miscommunications on delivery or dispatch times. We make NO GUARANTEES on delivery times, these are all estimated.
SWEET X SALTY cannot be held responsible if the dispatched goods are lost, stolen or damaged in transit. We are not responsible for loss or damage once the goods have been dispatched.
WEBSITE DISCOUNT CODES
The company reserves every right to not deliver orders where the discount code has been misused on products it was not originally intended for, we will contact the customer regarding this and request that the outstanding balance is paid before the goods are released for delivery. If a product is already on special offer, other discounts cannot be applied on top of this.
FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM SHOP
Prices, as detailed within each social media shop listing, are subject to change when viewed directly on the SWEET X SALTY website, where the most up-to-date and accurate pricing will be displayed. We always advise checking the prices on our website directly to ensure that any given item is suitable for you. Whilst we will endeavour to ensure that all Facebook and Instagram shop prices are as accurate as possible, we cannot be held responsible for any price changes between the social media shops and our direct website. IMAGE & CONTENT COPYRIGHT
All content, copy, photography and product information remains the property of ‘The Company’. For bespoke designs, photography will be taken to keep designs on file and to use for website, print and other mediums of marketing.
CHANGES TO OUR TERMS
We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these terms. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes.
